Warm up with some tea at these fabulous tea spots around town. First up is the Jing Tea Seminar and Tasting at the ~BRASSERIE S&P~ in the Mandarin Hotel. On Saturday March 2nd, catch a lesson and tasting that covers many varieties of tea and how to prepare them all perfectly. Felicity from Jing (who is coming all the way from London for this event!) will also be pouring tea tastes alongside pastries prepared in-house. There are two seminars, one from 10:30am-12pm and another from 2:30pm-4pm. The price is $15 per person, which includes a take-home gift. You can RSVP by email or by calling 415-986-2020.

There’s a new spot to get your frilly high tea on too. CROWN & CRUMPET has big plans for a full-scale tea salon in Union Square someday, but for now it’s opened a smaller outpost near Japantown. You’ll find tea, crumpets (obviously), tea sandwiches, and other delightful tea accoutrements. The spot opens officially on Friday March 1st, and the hours will be Mon-Sat 10am-7pm and Sun 11am-6pm. 1746 Post St. at Webster in the New People Building, 415-771-4252.
