News About the Kitchen Side of Things at the Upcoming ABV

~ABV~ is moving right along—this is the bar that’s opening in the former Tokyo Go Go space from Erik Reichborn-Kjennerud (Dalva/Hideout), Ryan Fitzgerald (Beretta, brand ambassador for Del Maguey), and Todd Smith (Bourbon & Branch, Hideout).

The team just announced they have hired Kevin Cimino (opening sous of St. Vincent) to run the kitchen. He’ll focus on bar-style snacks (possible menu items include chicken potpie empanadas, a mapo sloppy joe, pulled pork pupusa, and grilled Caesar salad). As noted before, drinks will be non-fussy (and not expensive, either). And remember, the kitchen will be open late, at least until 1am (score!). They are targeting a late May opening. 3174 16th St. at Albion.
