With the departure of ~ABSINTHE BRASSERIE & BAR~ bar manager Matt Conway, who will be opening his own project on Hayes (in the former Marlena’s), the restaurant has named a new bar manager: Jared Schmidt. Jared was most recently the bar manager at Quince and starts tonight!

Pub change: According to ABC license activity, Martin Macks in the Upper Haight is now ~JOPLIN’S~. You can read a little more on Uppercasing. 1568 Haight St. at Clayton.

Looking for a wine break in Union Square? ~ENO WINE BAR~ has you covered with its new location, which opened March 13th. The spot boasts almost 50 different wines by the glass, and an additional 300 by the bottle. Look for some winemaker dinners and events in the future.
