~BLOODHOUND~, the bar I mentioned last week that’s now in the old Cassidy’s space in SoMa, is due to open this Thursday, FYI. Open 4pm–2am daily. 1145 Folsom St. at 7th St.

There are a few wine dinners coming up, including this lovely-sounding Italian wine dinner at ~TERZO~ on Tuesday February 3rd. The five-course menu is $125, with wine included (exclusive of tax and gratuity.) The dinner will feature food by executive chef Mark Gordon with wine pairings by chef Gordon and the president of Robert Chadderdon Selections, Alan Sobczak, highlighting estates that believe in a non-interventionist organic approach to their products. Let’s just say the evening begins with wine from Giuseppe Quintarelli, his bianco secco, to be exact. You can check out the menu and pairings in this PDF. Reservations are for one seating at 7pm, with appetizers passed at 6:30pm. Ten percent of proceeds will be donated to New Door Ventures, which helps at-risk youth in San Francisco get ready for work and life by providing jobs, job-readiness, and supportive community. Reservations can be made by emailing Terzo General Manager Janice Clement at Janice [at] niceventures [dot] com. 3011 Steiner St. at Union, 415-441-3200.
