There are a few wine dinners coming up, including this lovely-sounding Italian wine dinner at ~TERZO~ on Tuesday February 3rd. The five-course menu is $125, with wine included (exclusive of tax and gratuity.) The dinner will feature food by executive chef Mark Gordon with wine pairings by chef Gordon and the president of Robert Chadderdon Selections, Alan Sobczak, highlighting estates that believe in a non-interventionist organic approach to their products. Let’s just say the evening begins with wine from Giuseppe Quintarelli, his bianco secco, to be exact. You can check out the menu and pairings in this PDF. Reservations are for one seating at 7pm, with appetizers passed at 6:30pm. Ten percent of proceeds will be donated to New Door Ventures, which helps at-risk youth in San Francisco get ready for work and life by providing jobs, job-readiness, and supportive community. ~SPRUCE~ is hosting a Drouhin Family Winemaker Dinner on Tuesday February 24th. From the event announcement: “Drouhin is one of the finest domaines in all of Burgundy, with a beautiful range of wines from Gevery-Chambertin to Puligny-Montrachet. Their top wine, Clos de Mouches, from Beaune is the kernel of the Domaine, producing a pinot noir of outstanding quality that will be served at this dinner. This dinner will feature selections from the old and new world regions, highlighting pinot noirs and chardonnays from France and Oregon.” The dinner is $130 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.
