~LA COCINA~ is a pretty incredible organization, and one of their biggest events of the year is coming up soon. The second annual La Cocina Gala & Cocktail Reception is happening Monday May 12th, and you don’t want to miss it. This year, they’re throwing the party at Airbnb’s headquarters downtown (you know, with the conference room that is modeled after Dr. Strangelove’s war room), and lots of San Francisco’s best restaurants and bars will be represented.
The evening has been split into two portions, the cocktail reception and the sit-down dinner. During the cocktail reception, local chefs like Craig and Annie Stoll (Delfina), Massimo Conti and Lorella Degan (La Ciccia), and Joanne Weir (Copita) will be preparing appetizers inspired by different La Cocina businesses. There will also be cocktails from Rye on the Road, and wines selected by Shelley Lindgren, the wine director and owner of A16, A16 Rockridge, and SPQR.
Then, for dinner, chef Ashley Christensen of North Carolina’s AC Restaurant Group will be the guest chef for dinner, and for dessert, Nicole Krasinski of State Bird Provisions will be preparing a memorable finale.
If all that doesn’t have your mind spinning already, there is also going to be an online auction with some seriously delicious prizes, including an ice cream party from Three Twins, a private dinner with Melissa Perello of Frances, and of course lots and lots of wine.
