Leave it to San Francisco to be as excited for the lineup of food (and wine and beer) vendors as for the music lineup at OUTSIDE LANDS this year (August 9th-11th). (Some are perhaps even more fired up for the vittles.) The majority of the audience will assuredly have the munchies, so it works out quite well having all that food.

You can check out the lineup here (I’ll be happy to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Phoenix, and the Foals again, and since I missed Jessie Ware at Coachella, this will be a good do-over), and here’s the mega list of food vendors. Yeah, you’ll have more than 200 food and drink options, with new additions like Rich Table, Il Cane Rosso, 1300 on Fillmore, Wise Sons Deli, Freshroll Vietnamese Rolls and Bowls, Nopalito, and Escape from New York Pizza. Returning vendors (and dishes) to look for include Azalina’s Malaysian nachos, Del Popolo’s pizza, and Nojo will be serving spicy Nojo fries with katsu sauce and Sapporo-chile mayo (all hopper-approved). Another bonus: Blue Bottle Coffee Co. and Trouble Coffee Company will be there to perk you up naturally.

I’m also looking forward to the return of John Fink’s Outside Lambs, and not just so I can jokingly say “Outside Laaaaaaambs” every day—that lamb poutine was delish. Mark Dommen of One Market will be his wingman. Beer Lands is also awesome; with Dave McLean (Magnolia Gastropub and Brewery and Alembic Bar) curating the lineup, you know you’re in good hands. There will be 16 breweries pouring 32 beers (welcome Social Kitchen & Brewery, Almanac Brewing Co., and Concord’s Ale Industries to the fold). I am all over Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s Outside Lands Saison again, that was tasty business. And then there’s Wine Lands, led by Peter Eastlake (a Food & Wine magazine “Sommelier of the Year: 2013”) overseeing 36 winemakers pouring 120 wines, including newbies Scharffenberger Cellars, Forlorn Hope, Broc Cellars, and more. A limited number of regular and VIP three-day tickets remain! Hop to it.
