Just when you’re bummed and sulking because Strong Beer Month has ended, the very next day, Slow Food San Francisco and the San Francisco Brewers Guild will highlight local microbreweries at the annual ~SLOW BEER FESTIVAL~! Woo hoo! It’s an afternoon of beer tasting paired with artisanal foods benefiting Slow Food San Francisco programs.

Over 25 handcrafted beers by Beach Chalet Brewery, Wunder Brewing Company, Gordon Biersch, Magnolia Pub, San Francisco Brewing Co., 21st Amendment, Speakeasy, and Thirsty Bear among others will be showcased as part of Slow Food's effort to promote the pleasures of eating and drinking from the well of our own backyard. The event will also showcase artisanal food provided by Hog Island Oysters, Fatted Calf, Harley Farms goat cheese, and Bodega goat cheese.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Slow Food San Francisco Programs including the Sanchez School garden and sending Bay Area farmers to Terra Madre.
