Last Tuesday, just hours before the Oakland A’s shut out the L.A. Dodgers in the teams’ series opener, the Dodgers’ No. 3 hitter, ~Matt Kemp~, who was sidelined due to a hamstring injury, was seen having lunch at Bluestem Brasserie with agent and former A’s pitcher, Dave Stewart. Kemp had the grass-fed steak sandwich. (Oakland native Stewart is best known for his first-rate pitching during the 1989 World Series, which earned him the MVP honor.)
A couple ball players around town: a reader reports seeing ~Barry Bonds~ at Pluto’s in the Marina (no word if he asked for any “extras” on his salad), and LA Dodger ~Matt Kemp~ had lunch earlier last week at Puccini & Pinetti. From what the diners in the restaurant said, he was dining alone, had a bottle of sparkling water, and the restaurant’s chicken panino (he even opted for a green salad on the side instead of the French fries).
