Tablehopper reader Jimmy wrote in to let me know Robert Plant and friends ended up at the R Bar on Sunday night "looking for a local bar" after Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Oh, he found one, yes indeedy.
I was told Tony Blair had dinner at Ame. He had the chef's tasting menu and drank some Napa Valley cabs. He was reportedly very charismatic and thanked everyone in the kitchen personally on his way out, a true gentleman.
Meow. Clive Owen was dining at Piazza D'Angelo before the opening event for the Mill Valley Film Festival. He dined with two other gentlemen on the patio, where they ordered burrata, braised pork belly, fagioli salad, grilled wild salmon, and veal saltimbocca. Clive was supposedly even better looking in person, but I don't know how that can be possible. If I was his server I would have spontaneously combusted at the table, seriously.
