Looks like a few things are percolating in Polk Gulch, according to tablehopper intern Daniel Azarkman. He noted some activity on Bush Street: an awning with FINA ESTAMPA on it. Some of you will remember the Peruvian restaurant that used to be on Van Ness by that name. Well, it seems that it will be reopening (same name, same concept) in June. Over on Van Ness, PHILZ COFFEE acquired the adjacent space and turned it into a “Philz Lounge,” which is basically a bunch of tables, chairs, and power outlets. Now they have about three times the seating capacity, and enough room in the original space for a new build-your-own-bagel and oatmeal bar.
