I’m a big fan of the olive oil from DaVero in Dry Creek Valley, and their olio nuovo is definitely something special. On Tuesday January 18th, ~COCO500~ is hosting their annual olio nuovo dinner, offering a special tasting menu to celebrate the bright green liquid gold. The four-course menu is as follows: burrata with farmers’ market vegetables, vinaigrette, and grilled levain; spaghetti with smoked herring, black pepper, and bottarga; choice of grilled New York strip with Parmigiano-Reggiano and lemon, or cacciucco (Tuscan seafood stew); and for dessert, Colleen’s olive oil cake with vanilla gelato and fruit conserva. $60, and $35 for the optional wine pairing.
