A new Irish pub, ~KELLEY'S TAVERN~, will be opening in the old Blue Triangle space in the Marina on Friday, March 17, just in time for that day of bad behavior, St. Patrick's Day. The owners are John Kelley and Scott Loose (co-owners of U Street Lounge on Union St.), Darren Matte, and John Christiansen. The look will be old-world tavern doing a time warp with a modern-day lounge, so think fireplace and stained glass lampshades meet a number of flat screen TVs (just in time World Cup). I'll have another Guinness, mate.
