After a brief one-week closure, the MATRIXFILLMORE space has a new look, earlier hours, and a seasonal cocktail list from Ken Luciano (which includes a new rotating special, the Six Dollar Cocktail). Now more of a lounge than a club space, Matrix is opening at 6pm daily—but the vibe will get bumped up at 10pm with DJs spinning. The new look by Shopworks is more modern—they kept the iconic fireplace, but installed new banquettes and cocktail tables, as well as romantic lighting.
