The documentary film Wine From Here: Natural Wine in California will be shown to the public for the first time on Thursday August 25th at the Victoria Theatre in the Mission (2961 16th St. at Capp).

Wine From Here is about the budding natural wine movement in California. Through lively and in-depth interviews with natural wine producers in their own working environment, the vineyard and the winery, the film reveals the passion and the techniques that distinguish natural wine producers from other wine producers.

Ultimately, Wine From Here captures the values of a new generation of wine drinkers who care about authenticity and the environment. The film is the story of this generation’s favorite winemakers who are today pioneering a new trend in California’s wine industry.

Immediately following the screening, there will be a Q&A with the filmmakers and most of the winemakers from the film. And around 9pm, the natural wine frenzy continues at Heart, a fascinating wine bar just a few blocks away (1270 Valencia St. at 24th St.). You will be able to meet and talk to most of the winemakers in the film and have the opportunity to taste their wine! Really, can it get better?

Actually, yes, ‘cause tablehopper readers get a $5 discount off the $15 ticket price using code TABLEHOPPER! Buy tickets here to watch and taste the natural wine movement on August 25th. Another bonus: when you join the filmmakers and winemakers at Heart, your film ticket will get you a $5 tasting of natural wine!
