Diablo Magazine reports that Chuck Stilphen of The Trappist in Oakland is bringing even more swell beer to San Francisco. He’s secured a spot at the former Crash Nightclub at 34 Mason St. downtown, and plans to fill it with 40 taps of European and American beers. There will also be casks, a sour beer tasting room in the cellar, and wine on tap. He’s also got plans for a full kitchen, serving lunch and dinner seven days a week, plus brewer dinners with food and beer pairings. Right now, the spot is at least five or six months from opening, but he’s also still waiting on a beer permit, so that could cause additional delays. 34 Mason St. at Turk.

In the meantime, though, you can check out his Trappist Provisions bottle shop, which should be opening in Rockridge in just a few weeks. 6309 College Ave. at 63rd.
