Pride Weekend is here on Saturday June 27th and Sunday June 28th, and of course our fab local restaurants are here to help you get through the weekend with gaymazing drink and food specials.

Start Pride off with a bang (and a laugh) at the Cirque du Pride party at ~DIRTY HABIT~ on Thursday June 25th. Local actress and comedian Margaret Cho will be hosting the carnival-themed evening, along with DJ duo Go BANG. The party runs from 6:30pm to 9pm, with samples of the restaurant’s new menu and a hosted bar. Mmmhmmm, cheers to that. Tickets are $60 per person and benefit The Trevor Project.

~CHINO~ is offering a special dim sum brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am to 4pm. If you’re headed to Dolores Park on Saturday, this is a great place to start, with a breakfast bao with egg, chicharrón, cheddar, and pork belly; heirloom tomato dumplings in tom kha broth; and spicy lamb steam buns. Pick four items for $19 or five for $24. There are also cocktails, like the Ms. Vida (gin, tarragon, lemon, sugar, pinot noir soda), plus Jello shots and slushies from the bar. You can make a reservation or walk in.

To honor the faaaaabulous Juanita More!, HECHO is offering a special cocktail during Pride. It’s called the Original (OG) Juanita More, with Jameson (of course), fresh blackberry, Angostura bitters, Bundaberg ginger beer, and lemon, and for each one purchased they will donate $1 to her favorite cause, Youth Empowered Solutions, or Y.E.S. 2200 Market St. at 15th St., 415-926-5630.

When it’s time for a sweet treat (besides the cutie you met at Hard French), THREE TWINS ICE CREAM is scooping up several special flavors for Pride at their Lower Haight location. The hilariously named flavors include Matcha Matcha Man, Dorothy’s Ruby Red Slipper, Harvey Milk and Honey, Two Tops Don’t Make a Bottom (okay, we can’t even imagine what’s in that one), and Freedom to Marry Cherry. Check out all the options right here. Scoops are available in the shop only, and pints are only $3 with the purchase of a scoop. 254 Fillmore St. at Haight, 415-487-8946.
