James Spader Has a Thing for SF Restaurants

James Spader had San Francisco diners swooning at restaurants all around the city, with spottings at Frances on Wednesday night, Sebo on Thursday (where he made it hard for Amy Sherman to “pay attention to my sushi”), and Cotogna on Friday. Props to the sommelier at Frances: Spader spilled wine on himself, and the somm gave Spader one of his extra shirts. Nice save. (Sorry ladies, no word if the wine-stained shirt is going to be sold on eBay.)
A reader informed me Spader comes to San Francisco every six-eight weeks to visit friends and dine around town (and he’s supposedly a “serious effing sushi geek”).
