At last, something fun returns to the La Felce space on Washington Square Park. This joint has not one but four pizza ovens. The 900-degree wood-fired oven cranks out a world champion pizza margherita (pictured here); and when I say world champ, I mean it: Tony Gemignani won Best Pizza Margherita at the World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy in 2007. And then there’s my personal favorite, the New Jersey tomato pie that comes from a brick oven—what a crust on that thing. Fresh imported burrata rounds out the long list of cheesy temptations here.
